John Hatton
John is currently the Pipe Major of FSOS Pipes and Drums. John has introduced a lot of new music to our street selections and is also our Pipe Major in our newly reformed competition band. John has studied under PM George Bell.

Drumming

Bill Birch
Our Drum Sergeant, Bill Birch, is currently the drumming instructor for several local bands. Bill began his drumming tenure in Drum Corps and made a smooth transition to the Pipe Band style of drumming. Bill has helped improve our drum line on the street and is our lead tip in our competition band.

If you are interested in learning the tenor drum, which would consist of flourishing and rhythm, instruction can be made available.
