    Family (and Friends) Picnic

Wagle's Army put together a terrific day for Friends and Family on Saturday, September 26. These are some of the moments from that event.

    September Anniversaries

Computers and databases and spreadsheets they are only tools. Only as good as the data that's in them. And after 45 years there's a lot of holes in the data. I have culled as much information as I can from the existing database, polled members and looked to various sources of information around the club but I expect that I will still be wrong about some of the anniversaries below. If anyone has been left out or included in error I apologize. Please let me know and I will rectify the error immediately.

Congratulations to all those celebrating anniversaries this month.

    Chairs for Two

Word has it that if you are in need of care then steer clear of Care One, New Brunswick. Currently Joe Peel is recuperating at Care One following surgery. Though the facility and staff are excellent he's being driven nuts by screams of the nurses as Bill Hogarty rips his wheel chair up and down the corridor. It's expected that Joe will be released in two weeks. Bill will be out as soon as the modifications to the chair are finished. Look out for him at Englishtown Raceway.

    Shenanigans Online

Something new has been added to the navigation panel... The Shenanigans is now available online. Folks have put much time, thought and work into making this happen. Please take the time to verify that you can read it online. Problems, please contact Dave Cummins at Editor@FSOSDiary.Com

Special Thanks go out to Tom McGrath for all his tireless work in writing the Shenanigans, new member and graphic artist, Matt Lee who in his short time has already become an asset to the club and to Mike Callaghan, Rob McKiernan and his team for having vision to move us in this direction.

    The Brewers Apprentice

A few weeks ago 10 members of the FSOS headed down to the Brewers Apprentice in Freehold on a mission. We were bound to make our own beer. Not interested in anything to do with grapes. Not for us a cheeky merlot or chablis with a piquant aftertaste. We wanted beer. Well beer we got. About 440 22oz bottles to be precise. That and a lot of laughs. When we returned two weeks later to bottle up the fruits of our labor there happened to be a staff member from the Star Ledger there with a video camera. What can I say, he captured us in all our glory

    Did you hear?

    Summer Night Concert Info
Need information about free summer concerts? Then Tom Layden is your man. He’ll tell you everything you need to know. Of course when you turn up with your wife and cooler in tow you’ll find out that there is no concert, no crowds and no concession stands. So you end up sitting in the middle of Geick Park under the flood lights swatting bugs and saying, “No officer this isn’t beer”! But I'm not bitter.

    Wedding Bells
Congratulations to Chris & Debbie Finnegan on their recent marriage and new house. It's all down hill from here folks.

    Pipes and Drums
Congratulations to Kevin McFadden, Frank’s son for taking 1st place in grade 4. Congrats also to Sean Clark, Randy’s boy playing with city of Wash. pipe band grade 1, first place.

    Bill Hogarty on the mend
Bill is recovering from a bad spill that resulted in a broken hip. Because of the injury Bill has been forced to cancel his tap dancing classes though he insists he’ll be back teaching The Hogarty Hip Hop before too long. We all wish him well.

    Welcome Home
Kevin Burns (Burnsey) is back from his sabbatical in Ireland. He said he just couldn’t stand being away from this place. All that good Guinness was just more than he could stand over there.
